It's hard to decide sometimes if I want more or less excitement in life. I think it would depend on the kind of excitement. For example, I could really use a dream job offer. I could use a tolerable job offer for that matter. I have been an irresponsible idiot and avoided jobhunting for long enough that I need a paycheck job. Getting one would buy me the time necessary to look for something I like. So if you know something that's hiring -- aside from callcenters -- let me know.
I just finished a temp job, so we should stay solvent, so long as I can find something fairly soon.
My webdesign client actually making its mind up would be welcome too. Then I could finish their damned project & get paid. It's beyond me how a company of only 3 people can be this slow and inefficient to work with. If they actually answered me promptly, this could have been done months ago. Literally.
I wish Jason would get better and not get injured again, at least for a few months. One of his fingers got infected with something nasty several weeks ago and it's not better yet. In effect he has only a hand and a half, so he can't do dishes or jobs needing full manual dexterity. I am really sick of doing the dishes. Then on Sunday, he fractured his foot mildly when he landed badly from a jump in his martial arts demonstration. Now he's only semi-mobile -- shouldn't be on his feet more than necessary; needs a crutch and compression bandage. Thank goodness he'd done a big pile of laundry on Saturday.
I'd like to see more of my friends more often. That's a kind of excitement I'd like. But bus trips for pleasure and meals out are unjustifiable luxuries right now. (Yes, finances are that bad. I said I'd been an irresponsible idiot.) That makes it somewhat hard to see people. But I'd love more company, especially from those of you I only see occasionally.
