If you were just going to be rude, Mr. Jerk, why did you call in the first place? It is NOT my fault that Pleasanton's print server has had problems every day this week. (It is probably an ancient piece of shit that belongs in a museum, and I bet it is kept running with duct tape and prayer. Or curses.) It is NOT my fault that the *^@%ing NT techs don't write notes. What is my fault is that I actually tried to help you!

The ticket notes, as mentioned, were inadequate. I felt I should offer better service than that, so I offered to call Problem Management to get more status information. So I asked Mr. Jerk, "is it OK?" with respect to said offer. Mr. Jerk chomps my head off and goes into a tirade about how it is NOT OK that the server is down and he has not been able to print all this week! Absolutely NO understanding that I am putting out a special effort to help him even though I don't have to, and that I am trying hard to be polite and helpful even though he is being rude and demanding. I could and should brush him off with the information that the ticket is in pending, but the notes are not specific enough to give him any more details. Mr. Jerk needs a punch in the jaw and some swift kicks in the rear!

While I don't know what condition the Pleasanton server is in, I bet it's lousy. The problem is being "reviewed for a permanent solution" which probably means it's time to replace the server, so they have to extract the company wallet from the deepfreeze.

Of course, none of the NT techs bothered to add a note saying the server was running and printing again!

I want to go home and never have to come back here. I'm sick of Mr. Jerk and his friends.
